As a private practitioner, I specialise in supporting women and adolescents and operate from my home studio. I have extensive experience working in schools and in a special school for excluded children for many years as well as in a locked unit for adolescents.
My approach is based on the Humanistic perspective that values empathy as a top priority. I have a Doctor of Philosophy degree and specialise in researching women's perceptions of their bodies.
My medium of choice is clay, which I use to explore this topic. My work has been featured in multiple publications, and I recently published a book titled "Clay Work and Body Image in Art Therapy" through Routledge. In addition to creating my own pieces, I have also curated various sculpture exhibitions throughout my career.
Clay sculpture is my preferred medium for personal expression and relaxation, and it's something that I'm truly passionate about.
I am registered with both The British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and the Health Professions Council (HCPC).
I have written works of fiction and continue to pursue this passion as an outlet for my creativity.

"Clay Work and Body Image in Art Therapy" is a valuable resource for those in the field of art therapy and clay work. It focuses on the sensory properties of clay and how it can be used as a therapeutic tool to help women struggling with body image issues.
This book presents a comprehensive summary of the current knowledge in the fields of body image, neuroscience, clay work, and art therapy. It builds a theoretical framework around personal narratives and provides case studies that examine the advantages of exploring body image through clay work in art therapy practice.
The case studies demonstrate that clay work in art therapy practice can be a positive and contained way for individuals to find personal acceptance. They also feature photographs of clay body image sculptures created by research participants, which highlight their unique stories and experiences.
In addition to offering clinical and practical implications, the book provides a complete protocol for the research and evaluation methods used in the study. This protocol can be replicated by other therapists who want to use clay work in their practice.
Overall, the book emphasizes the importance of clay work as a valuable resource for art therapists, counsellors, and arts in health practitioners. It provides an emotive yet contained approach to the development of personal body image acceptance and self-compassion.

Carly Simon Brankowitz spent her youth in Hollywood where she was surrounded by friendships she would treasure. Among her earliest chums was a boy named Eric Bonnington.
Intelligent, sensitive and artistic, Eric would grow up to become a much-in-demand make-up artist, working for all the major film studios around Los Angeles. Carly herself would become a successful dancer in New York.
In spite of distances and differences, Carly and Eric remain attached to one another, though Carly finds her one true love in Englishman Osc Treethorne. Carly and Osc begin a perfect life together and build a yacht to sail around the world.
Yet, even before they set sail, strange things begin to happen. Too much in love to become distrustful of fortune, Osc and Carly boldly cross the Atlantic to Trinidad, enjoying every minute of their time together until tragedy strikes and Carly's old friend Eric comes back into Carly's life.
